• George

Est. DOB: May 23, 2013
Description: DSH Black
Gender: Male
Adoption Fee: $100.00

George is a wonderful and handsome boy with the most soulful eyes and wonderful “purr motor”. George is the sweetest boy and adores people, loves snuggling with them and sitting on their laps. George also loves cat toys in all shapes and sizes – especially small mice and bell balls.

George was found living in a backyard feral colony and had a very bad limp and it was hard for him to walk and run. After he was rescued, he was diagnosed with a luxating patella – commonly referred to as “trick knee” – and had surgery to correct it. He had surgery on that knee and is very mobile with only a hint of a limp, but may have additional knee issues as he gets older and will likely have some arthritis in the knee as he ages. A heated bed will help him with that in the winter. Because George didn’t interact as much with the other cats when he couldn’t move around very well, George gets pretty excited when he’s playing and plays too rough for most cats. When he doesn’t have the “play crazies”, he’ll sleep next to other cats without issue. George was fostered with one dog and did well. He was recently fostered with two active dogs and it was a bit too much for him.

George is an extraordinary cat with an extra special place in his first foster mom’s heart and will be a wonderful companion for the person that is lucky enough to adopt George as their forever friend.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with rescue paid registration.

width:800;;height:548

She enjoys chasing the laser pointer, playing with toy mice, running around the house with other cats, looking out the window, and sitting on the cat tree. When she is done playing, she likes to burrow under blankets or find a comfortable cat bed for a warm nap. She gets along with other cats, but would probably be very shy around young children or dogs, especially at first.

Max was pulled from a high kill shelter

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with shelter paid registration.
width:600;;height:800

He does well with other cats and likes to play – especially with ping pong balls and laser toys.

Bates is one of the “Downton Tabby” kittens. She’s also done very well with children and enjoys greeting them.

Hazel is an older cat who was found abandoned in front of a specialty pet store in Raleigh in a carrier. Alley Cats and Angels took her in and although she is older, she had a senior blood panel that showed everything is okay. All that was wrong is she had some very bad teeth that were causing her a lot of pain, but she had her teeth cleaned, the bad ones removed and now she feels a lot better and is even eating better! Cats without many teeth typically prefer eating dry food, but so far Hazel has been enjoying wet food too. She’s a nice girl that would make someone a loving and affectionate pet!

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with rescue paid registration.
width:450;;height:800
  • Pepper

Est. DOB: July 15, 2009
Description: DLH Black
Gender: Male
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Pepper is a laid back boy that enjoys napping or watching the world through a window perch. Pepper gets along with the other cats and kittens in his foster home, but can get into little spats. He would do fine as an only cat but he isn’t really interested in being friends.

He’s a sweet boy with long handsome fur, right now he’s been trimmed up by the vet because he had some knots in his soft fur. As his hair grows out, brushing it will keep out the knots but sometimes long haired cats do require some grooming.

Pepper was originally adopted from Alley Cats and Angels as a kitten, but was found alone and uncared for in a feral colony where TNR was underway. We don’t know what happened, but he’s a good boy who deserves a good home and prefers to be indoors.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with rescue paid registration.
width:433;;height:800
  • Fiona

Est. DOB: August 9, 2012
Description: DSH Torti
Gender: Female
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Fiona is a really sweet girl. She loves toys, she likes attention and ‘talks’ a lot at her foster home. She can get along with other cats and kittens after proper introductions but would be happy to be an only cat as well. She would probably prefer to have only one sibling pet.

She’s very sweet and soft and has a black nose. It’s very cute.

Fiona was adopted when she was a kitten returned to Alley Cats and Angels when she was no longer tiny and cute. She's a great cat, but it's hard to compete with all those kittens, but she deserves a forever home!

Fiona was found as a stray when she was a kitten.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with rescue paid registration.
width:644;;height:627
  • Panini

Est. DOB: September 13, 2011
Description: DSH Light Brown Tabby with White
Gender: Female
Adoption Fee: $50.00 – “Single in the City”

Panini is a very pretty lady with her light brown tabby coloring and pretty white neck and paws. She loves to gaze out the window and catch some sunbeams. Panini is a sweet lady who likes to talk on occasion and thinks catnip toys and kitty treats are fantastic. She adores receiving and giving love and attention.

The only thing Panini really doesn’t like is other cats or dogs. Panini is one of the “Single in the City” cats who must be the only four legged family member in a home – she cannot be in a home with other cats or dogs. Panini is a great cat who deserves a loving permanent home. And in return for being your one and only four legged family member, she will be forever grateful and will be you lifelong friend and companion.

Panini and her babies were pulled from a rural high kill shelter when the kittens were only a few days old.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with rescue paid registration.
width:800;;height:531
  • Penne

Est. DOB: October 14, 2011
Description: DSH Dilute Torti Polydactyl
Gender: Female
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Penne is the mom of the Pasta kittens. She is a pretty dilute torti and a front paw polydactyl.

Penne is a friendly girl, but she doesn’t like other cats or dogs. She is very active with a high prey drive so she needs to go to a home where someone can spend time playing with her to wear her out daily. She likes wand toys and will play rough. Interactive play will be an important part of her daily routine.

Once Penne is worn out, she likes to sleep on her foster parents’ bed at night and recharge for the next day.

Penne was pulled from a high kill shelter with her kittens.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with shelter paid registration.
width:682;;height:800
  • Bonanza

Est. DOB: May 8, 2010
Description: DSH Tuxedo
Gender: Female
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Bonanza is the mother of the wild west kittens, she was found wandering a neighborhood in Raleigh with her babies.

Bonanza likes high places, she likes to be on top her foster family’s fridge where she can survey the whole room, but she's good about not being on the kitchen counters. She also likes to nap in laundry baskets or cat beds and will take a nice belly rub when it is offered. She enjoys attention and being part of the family, and she can really be quite playful. She's not much of a lap cat, but she'll enjoy sitting next to you on the sofa or sleeping with you at night.
Bonanza can be a bit of a door darter, so she needs a home where her chances of getting outside are reduced. She's allergic to topical flea medicine (it irritates her neck and the fur comes off) so she needs oral flea control and we will provide some at adoption, but it's more difficult to manage and take than the topical flea medicine so an adoptive family will want to be committed to keeping her indoors. Her foster family has had pretty good luck with keeping her inside and if she lived in a home where people exited through a mud room or garage it would be even easier. She's a pretty girl who gets along just fine with other cats and kittens and has a sleek and glossy coat she keeps well groomed

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with shelter paid registration.
width:614;;height:800
  • Carya

Est. DOB: May 24, 2012
Description: DSH Tabby
Gender: Female
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Carya is a sweet and petite ticked tabby kitten.

She can be a bit timid, but once she warms up to you she’s sweet, loving and playful. She gets along well with other cats. After she adjusts to a new home she becomes a super duper lap cat!

Carya’s name comes from the scientific name of a Pecan Tree since she was found up in the top of one as a kitten. She had been chased and was really scared when she was found by a former adopter.

Carya was taken into Alley Cats and Angels’ adoption program after she was found as a stray.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with shelter paid registration.
width:800;;height:781

DOB: March 18, 2011
Description: DSH Gray/Brown Tabby
Gender: Male
Adoption Fee: $95.00

Davey Jones was living outside with several other cats. When he was trapped for TNR, he showed how sweet he is and his desire to be inside and be loved on.

Davey loves human attention and may talk to you or give you a little love nip if he believes he’s not getting enough attention.

Davey likes to run around the house and explore. He is easily picked up and carried around. And he loves to get in your lap for a visit.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with shelter paid registration.
width:428;;height:640
