We don't think there is a toy she doesn't like, but you can really get her going with wand toys. She is a fun kitten to play with. She love the other cats and is always playing and snuggling with them - but she is not big on snuggling with people.

She will let you hold her briefly, but then she would rather be put down. She has started to like being petted more and even though she won't snuggle up to you, she will sleep nearby. • Bates

Est. DOB: December 6, 2013
Description: DSH White and Black
Gender: Male
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Bates is a very handsome black and white kitten. He is shy and it takes him a while to get to know the people he’s with, so even if he’s hiding, he wants to be in the same room as people. Like his sister, Bates needs a home that will be patient so he can come out of his shell and be the best kitty he can be – and that will happen with love and time.

Bates is easily picked up and held. He does well with other cats and likes to play – especially with ping pong balls and laser toys.

Bates is one of the “Downton Tabby” kittens. The Downton Tabby kittens were rescued from a kill shelter because they were going to be put to sleep because they had eye infections. The infections were easily treatable and the kittens have all been given a clean bill of health by our vet.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with rescue paid registration.
width:417;;height:266

Solid orange female cats are very rare, and this girl is a very petite beauty, weighing just over 5lbs.

She’s a sweet girl that likes some attention on her terms. She’ll come sit beside you on the couch for attention and she has this cute deep gravelly meow.

Orange Blossom is also still a bit playful. She likes to climb and gets along with other cats after proper introductions, but isn’t likey to be a companion for another cat. She prefers a quieter home. She’s currently in a foster home with a cat friendly dog, but would prefer a more laid back dog.

Orange Blossom was found outside as a kitten, and kept by an individual until she came to Alley Cats and Angels and was spayed and vetted for adoption.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with rescue paid registration.
width:800;;height:653

She’s also done very well with children and enjoys greeting them.

Hazel is an older cat who was found abandoned in front of a specialty pet store in Raleigh in a carrier. Alley Cats and Angels took her in and although she is older, she had a senior blood panel that showed everything is okay. All that was wrong is she had some very bad teeth that were causing her a lot of pain, but she had her teeth cleaned, the bad ones removed and now she feels a lot better and is even eating better! Cats without many teeth typically prefer eating dry food, but so far Hazel has been enjoying wet food too. She’s a nice girl that would make someone a loving and affectionate pet!

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with rescue paid registration.
width:450;;height:800

DOB: July 15, 2009
Description: DLH Black
Gender: Male
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Pepper is a laid back boy that enjoys napping or watching the world through a window perch. Pepper gets along with the other cats and kittens in his foster home, but can get into little spats. He would do fine as an only cat but he isn’t really interested in being friends.

He’s a sweet boy with long handsome fur, right now he’s been trimmed up by the vet because he had some knots in his soft fur. As his hair grows out, brushing it will keep out the knots but sometimes long haired cats do require some grooming.

Pepper was originally adopted from Alley Cats and Angels as a kitten, but was found alone and uncared for in a feral colony where TNR was underway. We don’t know what happened, but he’s a good boy who deserves a good home and prefers to be indoors.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with rescue paid registration.
width:433;;height:800

Interactive play will be an important part of her daily routine.

Once Penne is worn out, she likes to sleep on her foster parents’ bed at night and recharge for the next day.

Penne was pulled from a high kill shelter with her kittens.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with shelter paid registration.
width:682;;height:800
  • Bonanza

Est. DOB: May 8, 2010
Description: DSH Tuxedo
Gender: Female
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Bonanza is the mother of the wild west kittens, she was found wandering a neighborhood in Raleigh with her babies.

Bonanza likes high places, she likes to be on top her foster family’s fridge where she can survey the whole room, but she's good about not being on the kitchen counters. She also likes to nap in laundry baskets or cat beds and will take a nice belly rub when it is offered. She enjoys attention and being part of the family, and she can really be quite playful. She's not much of a lap cat, but she'll enjoy sitting next to you on the sofa or sleeping with you at night.
Bonanza can be a bit of a door darter, so she needs a home where her chances of getting outside are reduced. She's allergic to topical flea medicine (it irritates her neck and the fur comes off) so she needs oral flea control and we will provide some at adoption, but it's more difficult to manage and take than the topical flea medicine so an adoptive family will want to be committed to keeping her indoors. Her foster family has had pretty good luck with keeping her inside and if she lived in a home where people exited through a mud room or garage it would be even easier. She's a pretty girl who gets along just fine with other cats and kittens and has a sleek and glossy coat she keeps well groomed

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with shelter paid registration.
width:614;;height:800

She gets along well with other cats. After she adjusts to a new home she becomes a super duper lap cat!

Carya’s name comes from the scientific name of a Pecan Tree since she was found up in the top of one as a kitten. She had been chased and was really scared when she was found by a former adopter.

Carya was taken into Alley Cats and Angels’ adoption program after she was found as a stray.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with shelter paid registration.
width:800;;height:781
