• Guns

Est. DOB: September 25, 2015
Description: DSH Gray Tabby with White
Gender: Male
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Guns is a super cute boy with pretty green eyes rimmed in black and cute white toes. Guns is all about the playing, but he also loves attention and usually comes running the minute he sees people. You can hold him on his back like a baby and rub his bell and he loves it. He just wants to be with people and be loved. And play, play, play! He loves the turbo tracker spinny ball toy, rattle mice, bell balls, and coil spring toys; and interactive play with Da Bird or a feather toy is even more fun! Guns has a very impressive purr.

Guns does fine with other cats after proper introductions.

When the kittens were little, their foster mom nicknamed them Small, Medium, and Large – and Guns was “Medium”. He even sometimes answers to it!

Guns and his siblings, Roses and Slash, were left in a carrier in a busy high school bus parking lot.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with rescue paid registration.
width:539;;height:800

 • Roses

Est. DOB: September 25, 2015
Description: DSH Torbie
Gender: Female
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Roses is such a pretty girl with her slightly muted colors and kohl rimmed eyes. The black tipping on the hair on the back of neck almost makes her look like she has wrinkles! Roses loves to play but interactive play with Da Bird or a feather wand is her favorite. Roses also loves to lie on the cat tree and look out the window and bird watch. Roses loves to be petted and loved on and has a fantastic purr motor.

Although exposed to other cats, Roses does not typically do well with cats other than her siblings. She has true tortietude and likes to growl and try to bully all cats but her siblings. • Slash

Est. DOB: September 25, 2015
Description: DSH Gray Tabby with White (Pink Stripe on Nose)
Gender: Male
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Slash is a sweet boy with the most beautiful soft green eyes. He has blossomed into such a handsome kitten. Slash was quite shy for a long time but he finally learned that humans are nice and give good loves and pets. Slash has huge snuggle potential and would snuggle with his foster mom when they napped together. Slash likes to play with toys but his favorite is Da Bird, it unleashes his “inner beast” and he goes nuts trying to catch it. Slash is definitely the calmest of the litter; he’s a pretty great little guy.

Slash does fine with other cats after proper introductions.

When the kittens were little, their foster mom nicknamed them Small, Medium, and Large – and this sweet guy was “Small” because he was so much smaller than his siblings – but he’s almost caught up to them now.

Slash and his siblings, Guns and Roses, were left in a carrier in a busy high school bus parking lot.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with rescue paid registration.
width:533;;height:800

DOB: October 18, 2015

Description: DSH Gray (Russian Blue Mix)
Gender: Male
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Granite is a handsome gentleman with distinguished ear tufts. He enjoys playing with other kittens (he's an experienced wrestler), although he is wary at first in new places. He loves toys such as the laser pointer and turbo chaser.

Granite is not an extremely energetic kitten though, and can often be found lounging in a cozy bed or looking out a window. It takes some time for him to trust new people, but those who are patient with him are rewarded by purrs!

Granite and his siblings were found in a dumpster where they had been tossed.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with rescue paid registration.
width:600;;height:800

But you’d be shy and a little scared too if some mean person threw you in a dumpster like was done to Malachite and his siblings. He is interested in making friends with other cats and is not put off by their disinterest or even hostility!

Malachite is drawn by the sound of plastic balls being rolled on the floor and plays with mouse toys, feather toys, etc.

Malachite is your basic kitten, just a little shy! He needs a home with extra love and patience to help him blossom.

Malachite and his siblings were found in a dumpster where they had been tossed.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with rescue paid registration.
width:483;;height:487

 • Truffle

Est. DOB: February 16, 2012
Description: DSH Siamese/Tortie Mix
Gender: Female
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Truffle is one of the “Fancy Food rescues” and is a strikingly beautiful girl. Truffle is sweet cat who loves attention (purrs a lot when you pet her, wants you to keep petting her) but she can be a little timid sometimes. She gets along with other cats if they do not have strong personalities because they scare her. However, Truffle would also do well as an only cat and be the queen of the castle. Truffle would do best in a somewhat non-hectic household. Truffle loves to sit up on the back of the sofa or the cat tree, looking out the window and soaking up the sun. But she also likes to snuggle next to her foster mom on the sofa or sit on her lap.

The “Fancy Food rescues” were pulled from a rural high-kill shelter as kittens. Truffle was adopted as a kitten but the resident cat relentlessly bullied her so she was returned to Alley Cats and Angels. Unfortunately for Truffle, the person that adopted her put her outside but because we microchip, she was able to be returned to us.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with rescue paid registration.
width:625;;height:800

 • Paprika
Estimated DOB: March 30, 2014
Description: DSH Orange Marbled Tabby Gender: Male
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Paprika is a very handsome and sweet boy. Paprika and his siblings were born to a feral mom, but were socialized as kittens until they were ready to be adopted. His brothers and sisters found homes over a year ago, but Paprika was the shyest of the kittens and it took him a little longer to adjust. Once he was ready to go up for adoption, he was a teenage cat and bigger than all the other kittens so he was overlooked at adoption events. A year later he is loving and outgoing in his foster home, comes when he is called, talks to his foster mom and dad, loves laps and treats – but he gets very stressed at adoption events.
He would do great with an experienced cat owner, he adjusts to a new home within a week or two.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with rescue paid registration. width:800;;height:533
 • Cocoa Puff

Est. DOB: February 16, 2012
Description: DLH Black
Gender: Male
Adoption Fee: $100.00

This aptly-named cat is even softer than he looks. This sweet boy has a silky coat, a fabulous tail, and loves attention. He is mostly black, but has some patches of gray on his belly and has fluffy gray toe tufts. Cocoa is not super playful, but he does love snuggling up with his people, chin scratches, being brushed, and having his belly rubbed. He will enjoy the occasional toy chase or game of laser pointer. Cocoa would make a great snuggle buddy and companion.
Cocoa Puff was adopted from us as a kitten, but was returned as an adult after he did not get along with the dog. Cocoa gets along great with people and can co-exist with other cats, but would not do well in a home with dogs. Cocoa has a tendency to develop crystals in his urine, so he is on a special diet to prevent urinary tract blockage. Currently, he eats Royal Canin Urinary SO brand food. He had a surgery to prevent future blockage, as well.
Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with rescue paid registration.
width:600;;height:800

 • Cerulean

Est. DOB: August 21, 2015
Description: DSH Gray Brown Tabby with White
Gender: Female
Adoption Fee: $100.00

My name is Cerulean, and I have been told by many that I’m the prettiest tabby-girl they’ve ever seen. I was very shy at first, but each day my personality blooms more and more. I delight in greeting my people first-thing in the morning, and I love when they stroke my back and tail. While I don’t like being picked up, I do love to sit near and lean on my humans, and I also make sure that everybody’s ankles and feet are always well groomed. I love to hunt and carry around small toys, and I cannot resist a good chase when my foster humans toss a jingle ball. Recently, I’ve begun talking to my people before meal times and during play sessions; my foster mom says I have a very sweet voice. I have been fostered with two other kittens, and I will do fine in home with or without older children as an only kitty or with kitty-siblings.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with rescue paid registration.
width:800;;height:637

 • Odessa

Est. DOB: November 29, 2009
Description: DSH Black
Gender: Female
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Odessa, or “Dessie,” is a sweet and loving girl who loves to snuggle and nap near her people. She is a big girl with a chirpy meow who will let you know when she wants attention. Her favorite things to do are get belly rubs, snuggle, and to be brushed. She is a beautiful black girl with two white toes on one of her back paws. She is extremely proud of her tail and usually holds it up high, almost parallel to her back, for all to see. She is also playful, especially with her favorite toy Da Bird, which is a wand toy with feathers. She also enjoys other wand toys, catnip, and loves to perch at the window and look outside. She gets along very well with other cats and with kittens. Odessa needs a home that can give her a portion-controlled wet food diet because she gains excessive weight when she free feeds. She recently reached her weight loss goal, and is now at a healthy weight. She started off at almost 20 pounds at the start of her diet, and has gradually lost almost half of her body weight since then! She is currently eating Natural Balance canned food – chicken and green pea formula; she eats one 6-ounce can daily (half in the morning, half in the evening).

Odessa came to Alley Cats and Angels from a feral colony.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with rescue paid registration.
width:800;;height:600
 • Pepper

Est. DOB: July 15, 2009
Description: DLH Black
Gender: Male
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Pepper is a laid back boy that enjoys napping or watching the world through a window perch. Pepper gets along with the other cats and kittens in his foster home, but can get into little spats. He would do fine as an only cat but he isn’t really interested in being friends.

He’s a sweet boy with long handsome fur, right now he’s been trimmed up by the vet because he had some knots in his soft fur. As his hair grows out, brushing it will keep out the knots but sometimes long haired cats do require some grooming.

Pepper was originally adopted from Alley Cats and Angels as a kitten, but was found alone and uncared for in a feral colony where TNR was underway. We don’t know what happened, but he’s a good boy who deserves a good home and prefers to be indoors.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with rescue paid registration.
width:433;;height:800
 • Penne

Est. DOB: October 14, 2011
Description: DSH Dilute Torti Polydactyl
Gender: Female
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Penne is the mom of the Pasta kittens. She is a pretty dilute torti and a front paw polydactyl.

Penne is a friendly girl, but she doesn’t like other cats or dogs. She is very active with a high prey drive so she needs to go to a home where someone can spend time playing with her to wear her out daily. She likes wand toys and will play rough. Interactive play will be an important part of her daily routine.

Once Penne is worn out, she likes to sleep on her foster parents’ bed at night and recharge for the next day.

Penne was pulled from a high kill shelter with her kittens.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with shelter paid registration.
width:682;;height:800
 • Bonanza

Est. DOB: May 8, 2010
Description: DSH Tuxedo
Gender: Female
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Bonanza is the mother of the wild west kittens, she was found wandering a neighborhood in Raleigh with her babies.

Bonanza likes high places, she likes to be on top her foster family’s fridge where she can survey the whole room, but she's good about not being on the kitchen counters. She also likes to nap in laundry baskets or cat beds and will take a nice belly rub when it is offered. She enjoys attention and being part of the family, and she can really be quite playful. She's not much of a lap cat, but she'll enjoy sitting next to you on the sofa or sleeping with you at night.
Bonanza can be a bit of a door darter, so she needs a home where her chances of getting outside are reduced. She's allergic to topical flea medicine (it irritates her neck and the fur comes off) so she needs oral flea control and we will provide some at adoption, but it's more difficult to manage and take than the topical flea medicine so an adoptive family will want to be committed to keeping her indoors. Her foster family has had pretty good luck with keeping her inside and if she lived in a home where people exited through a mud room or garage it would be even easier. She's a pretty girl who gets along just fine with other cats and kittens and has a sleek and glossy coat she keeps well groomed

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with shelter paid registration.
width:614;;height:800

DOB: May 24, 2012
Description: DSH Tabby
Gender: Female
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Carya is a sweet and petite ticked tabby kitten.

She can be a bit timid, but once she warms up to you she’s sweet, loving and playful. She gets along well with other cats. After she adjusts to a new home she becomes a super duper lap cat!

Carya’s name comes from the scientific name of a Pecan Tree since she was found up in the top of one as a kitten. She had been chased and was really scared when she was found by a former adopter.

Carya was taken into Alley Cats and Angels’ adoption program after she was found as a stray.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with shelter paid registration.
width:800;;height:781
