Kiton is a pretty tuxedo with white feet. She likes to show her love by nibbling on toes and fingers, or what she calls kitty kisses. Kiton loves to play with anything, it’s all a toy to her! She likes to chase your feet at night in bed and sometimes curl up near your hair. She’s an independent girl and sometimes supervises foster mom when she’s working (after all, have to keep an eye on those humans!). She isn’t keen on being picked up and held but she’s a very busy girl with things to do! The Tuxedo Brands kittens were found in the back of a work truck at a business. Attempts to trap and spay their mama are still underway. Kiton is FIV-positive. We recommend that she be retested at or after 6 months of age. FIV really isn’t scary if you understand it. FIV is a lentivirus, a slow-progressing virus that can compromise a cat’s immune system, reducing its ability to fight off illnesses. The virus has a long latent period then progresses so slowly that it may never affect a cat’s immune system. FIV cats can live just as long and be as healthy as Non-FIV cats and ultimately die of the same causes as Non-FIV cats. The virus cannot be passed to humans or other animals. FIV cats can live with other non-aggressive cats without spreading the virus.
