After 10 years in his first forever home Rome has adapted well to his foster home and its resident cat. Rome is an easy-going, average sized Maine Coon with just a bit of extra “fluff” at 16 pounds. He enjoys active play with toys like feather wands, laser pointers and catnip pillows. Rome conveys pleasure and contentment through his might purr and slow blinking. When not partaking in his afternoon siesta, he likes to follow you around or beg for attention by lying on the floor with all fours up in the air! It can take Rome a little while before he feels comfortably occupying your lap. Rome experienced a big upheaval in his life and is currently prescribed fluoxetine (generic for Prozac) to alleviate some litter box issues resulting from this stress. We suggest that Rome be adopted out to a family with fewer than 3 cats as we suspect he may not like sharing his litterbox/space with too many cats. Rome was given a clean bill of health. As a fluffy guy, he needs regular brushing to prevent developing hairballs, and may benefit from fiber in his diet.
Originally adopted from us as a kitten, unfortunately Rome, along with his sister Milan, was returned after 10 years when their owners passed away.
