Rosalina came to us with her kittens, but quickly made it known that SHE prefers to be the baby. She loves to cuddle with her people and is not shy to ask for attention—or even demand it if you happen to be doing something else.
When she wants something, she communicates with her little squeak of a meow. She loves to climb all over people and nuzzle you to show that you’re loved. She comes running for treats, even when she’s cozied up on the couch on a blanket, her favorite napping location. She is not very playful, preferring to supervise the household and be affectionate instead.
Rosalina is FIV-positive. FIV is slow progressing virus that can compromise a cat’s immune system. It sounds scary but it is not. The virus has a long latent period and progresses so slowly it may never actually affect the cat’s immune system. They can live just as long and as healthy as an FIV-negative cat. The virus cannot be passed to humans or other animals. FIV cats can live with other non-aggressive cats without spreading the virus.
Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with rescue paid registration.
