Stephen Pawking is an independent yet affectionate young physicist who loves people and other cats. He enjoys giving kisses and getting belly rubs and watching whatever his people are doing. Steve is very sociable with other cats and loves to wrestle with them and give them baths once they are properly acquainted. While he loves people, he is much less “in your face” than his brother Isaac and is able to wait his turn for attention. When tired, he likes to nap on the couch with his foster parents. He is also happy to play with toys independently and is quite fond of catnip. He also likes to play with springs and kickers, batting toys around and carrying them in his mouth, playing with wand toys (especially Da Bird), pouncing on everything and anything, and staring at ceiling fans as they rotate. He would prefer not to be the only pet and makes friends quickly with other cats.
Steve and his brothers were born with deformed eyelids (eyelid agenesis) and have had several surgeries to make their eyes as comfortable and healthy as possible. They have been treated by Animal Eye Care.
The Physicists kittens were born to a feral mom. A good samaritan found them and took care of them until they could find a rescue.
